Koi Magazine Forum Day 2014
Sunday, 27 April 2014 17:51

On Saturday 26th April we hosted another Koi Magazine Forum day and once again, we had a brilliant day! We've saw lots of old friends and met some new ones too. We are, as always, indebted to our friends who make up the Cuttlebrook Crew and who help everyone have a great time. Thank you guys, you are all awesome. Thanks also to everyone who came to see us and to Koi Carp Magazine for footing the bill for the food. :)

Donald Gibbs took lots of awesome pictures which you can see if you use the following link:

Thanks Donald they are a great reminder of a very enjoyable day - thanks for sharing them with us.

Cuttlebrook bred Koi wins Baby Champion at Winter Show 2014!
Friday, 28 February 2014 13:35

Congratulations to Ian Dunk, the proud owner of the East Midlands Koi Club Winter Show 2014 "Baby Champion" which was bred by us here at Cuttlebrook Koi Farm.  Only a few months earlier it had been swimming around in one of our sales tanks. Not only did Ian's Shiro Utsuri win "Baby Champion" (that includes "Best Utsurimono in size 2" and Best overall Koi of any variety in size 2) but another of our Shiro Utsuri, owned by Iain Kirkbright, was awarded "2nd in size 2 Utsurimono" (coming second to the "Baby Champion"). In addition to this a third Shiro Utsuri bred by us and owned by Alan Reeves was awarded "3rd in size 2 Utsurimono"!  Alan's Shiro Utsuri was one that he got in 2013 as part of a "Grow and Show" competition held by Crouch Valley Koi Club.  Well done guys!  For those of you who aren't up on your show sizes, this basically means that three Shiro Utsuri bred here at Cuttlebrook Koi Farm were judged to be the best Shiro Utsuri on show between 15-35cm and one of them the best Koi overall of any variety from 15-35 cm in length.

This is the second time that a Koi bred at Cuttlebrook Koi Farm has won "Baby "Champion" at the Winter Show.  The last time was with a Showa belonging to Dave Pope in 2012.

Well done to Ian, Alan and Iain for making such good choices and well done to the team at East Midlands Koi Club for putting on another great show!

Autumn Harvest 2013
Monday, 16 September 2013 17:16

On Saturday 14th September we were joined by a few friends to harvest our mud pond where we have been growing on the Koi that we bred last year and in previous years.  It was a damp and slightly blustery day but we spent a good few hours pulling one stunning Koi after another out of the pond in preparation for our Autumn Harvest Sales Day on the 29th September.  If you want to see some pictures of the Koi that we harvested, as they came out of the pond, take a look at our Facebook page or you can view a slide show of the Koi by clicking here.

We still have spaces available if you want to attend the Autumn Harvest Sales Day on the 29th, so just drop me an email to let me know you are coming or give us a call.
