We harvested our second pond of Hariwake earlier this week. These are from one of our earlier spawnings that we did in May and so are on the whole 6 - 8 inches at the moment.

When we breed Hariwake, we usually get the odd Kikusui in the mix.

It's difficult to say exactly how these offspring will develop for sure as we used a new female this year, bred by Yamazaki who has a good reputation for metallic koi. She is all Hariwake, although of course we don't know what her parents or siblings were like.

It will be interesting to see how they all develop.
