We harvested the Goshiki for third selection today, they are on average about 5 inches (12.5 cm) in length and there is now a whisper of that Asagi blue just under the skin which tells us that they are developing as expected. There are perhaps a dozen which don't have this slight dusting, which look like Kohaku, and which provide a good reference point for the developing Goshiki. It is difficult to explain just how subtle the development of the Goshiki is and it is difficult to see even in the two close up shots, but it is perhaps easier to see in the group shot. There are one or two Koromo evident also where that slight grainy texture is on the hi only. |
